I am Mourning the Death of James Gandolfini, AKA “Tony Soprano”

James Gandolfini entertained millions of people with his many roles as an actor and he is especially well known as Tony Soprano from the HBO hit, The Sopranos. We don’t know if he had a family history of heart disease or if he was every diagnosed with coronary heart disease (CAD) but one could easily conclude that he probably had some of the risks of heart disease. He was not only bigger than life on the screen but his very stature was bigger than life. His blood pressure, diet, his weight and all other details of his life remain and should be personal.

I can’t help by mourn him for many reasons. He was a great actor. He was a talented actor. He entertained us in so many ways. He played the tough guy but yet it seemed in real life he was a compassionate person. He was Italian and he died in Italy – a beloved country of mine. But because this website is devoted to preventing and reversing heart disease I am saddened that he died of a heart attack. So many heart attacks can be avoided. I will always wonder if that could have been the case with James Gandolfini. Heart disease has been called “a paper tiger” that doesn’t need to exist. I wonder if that was the case with James Gandolfini.
