I had a wonderful opportunity to spend yesterday’s national holiday with the firefighters in Highland Park.  As an outreach from our Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease meet up, three of us served a plant strong lunch.

It was quite a buffet and selection of foods. Lunch was followed by a special appearance and live discussion with Rip Esselstyn, author of “Engine2 Diet” and “My Beef with Meat”, via skype.  Rip spent about an hour with us.

I think some of the guys are ready to take the challenge and eat Plant Strong for the next 28 days.  A big thank you to Deputy Fire Chief Dan Pease for opening his “home” to us and the information to his department. Dan has been plant strong for some time now!
